BJP holds Dharna at Shyambazar metro, demands Justice for RG Kar rape victim

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including Agnimitra Paul, Sukanta Majumdar, Locket Chatterjee, and Hiran, lead a high-profile dharna at Shyambazar Metro Gate No. 1 on Tuesday, demanding justice in the horrific RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case.

With permission granted by the Calcutta High Court, BJP workers in large numbers joined their leaders in the peaceful protest. The leaders called for swift and transparent action to ensure justice for the 31-year-old junior doctor, whose brutal rape and murder at the hospital has sparked nationwide outrage.

The BJP leaders, while addressing the crowd, emphasized the importance of holding the authorities accountable and demanded a fair investigation into the incident. This protest comes as part of a wider movement seeking justice for the victim, whose case has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
